New CD “Stick It Out” is just coming up! Czech label Animal Music just releases Tomáš Hobzek quartet debut CD, called "Stick It Out". Album will be christened on Wednesday June 2nd at prague jazz club "Jazz Dock". Besides Tomáš Hobzek and Tomáš Liška, the album features two guests: New York based pianist Dan Tepfer and Holland saxofon player Cyrille Oswald.

Points new CD
The modern jazz quartet POINTS introduces its immensely inventive and by conventions unburdened pieces in the debut album POINTS. This all just shortly after being awarded on the important European festivals.
The first release of an outstanding Czech bassist, Tomáš Liška contains his own compositions as well as one composition by featured guitarist David Dorůžka and one by Italian bandoneonist Daniele di Bonaventura.

Points - 2nd price in Belgium
The jazz quartet Points got 2nd price of another very prestigious international jazz competition at Beligium - Jazz Hoeilaart 2009.
The best soloist of the contest was awarded trumpetist Miroslav Hloucal (Points) and price for the best bassist got Tomas Liska.
Points - Winners of competition at Spanish Getxo
The jazz band called Points won a very prestigious international jazz competition at Spanish Getxo, as the first Czech jazz band to do so in the whole Czech jazz history! Points reached the finale whilst being chosen from over 80 other competitors from Europe, the Middle East and Russia. The fact that Points won at Getxo ensured their presence at another great jazz festival taking place this Autumn in Hoeilaart, Belgium (www.jazzhoeilaart.be).
Points also accepted several concert offers throughout Spain and Ibiza.

Tomáš Liška and Polish saxophone-player Jarosław Bothur, was awarded like a two winners of international cometition of soloists in Łomża (Poland). Tomáš Liška was only one, who plays without rhythm section!

Dan Tepfer : Following his studies in Europe and also studying under Danilo Pérez at famous New England Conservatory in Boston, USA, Dan Tepfer performs at emulous and inspiring New York jazz scene. He is known especially for his highly praised trio with drummer Richie Barshay, whom he shares with the famous Herbie Hancock. Dan can be heard performing in a duo or quartet with the legendary Lee Konitz, in Sam Sadigursky’s Words Project band, or in quartet of phenomenal guitarist Jonathan Kreisberg, among other stimulating projects.
